The New Guilty Gear Is Breathtaking At 60 Frames Per Second

Added: 10.12.2014 16:17 | 14 views | 0 comments

Kotaku: "Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- would be the prettiest sprite-based 2D fighter I've played, only those aren't sprites. ARC System Works' tricksy polygon work results in a game that has to be seen running 60 frames per second at 1080p. What ARC has done with the new installment of Guilty Gear is create intricate cel-shaded polygon models for each of its 14 characters (16 with two DLC fighters), and then limited their movement in battle to simulate 2D sprites. The illusion is pretty spectacular. So much so that I ran out to my local big box electronics store to pick up an Elgato Game Capture HD60 for the sole purpose of showing our readers how pretty it looks."

Can you ignore Wolfenstein on PS4/XO for £14.99?

Dealspwn writes: Now the dust has settled on Black Friday, there are still some hot deals to be had, like Wolfenstein: The New Order for £14.99. These are pre-owned versions, so access to the upcoming Doom beta is not guaranteed. You will save a fiver over the next best deal though. Wolfenstein: The New Order has a huge shout at my Game of the Year pick thanks to providing a classic bombastic old school shooter experience. There's an outstanding stealth game in there too if you fancy being a bit sneaky. Fantastic replay value is offered by multiple routes, unique skills and loads of treasure to reclaim from the Nazis. The story is way better than I expected too, with a pleasing mix of emotions and grin-inducing one liners. More of this please!
